KGNU is unable to host in-person News Department trainings at our studios. That said, we are committed to helping interested volunteers continue to learn about KGNU’s on-air training and have created a new remote news training opportunity. Through this opportunity, you will learn about KGNU’s news programming, produce a demo from home, and begin producing on-air content for our DotOrg segment.
Participation in KGNU’s remote on-air music news training involves the following steps:
- Sign up for and attend a KGNU Remote On-Air Music News Training workshop (shifts listed below). Please only sign up for one shift.
- Record a demo from home and submit it to Dave Ashton, KGNU’s Denver Program Manager (instructions will be given during workshop).
- Once demo has been approved, meet with Dave and begin production on a pre-recorded DotOrg segments.
You must attend a KGNU Volunteer Orientation before you can participate in our remote music news training program.
