Hosts with Known Possible Exposure to COVID-19

Updated 08/19/2022

For live hosts who have had known possible exposure and NO symptoms of COVID-19:

  • Host must be symptom-free for a minimum of 5 days after known possible exposure or present a negative COVID-19 test result before coming back to the studios.
  • Upon approval to return by the appropriate Program Director Host will need to mask until ten days have passed since exposure, symptoms or a positive test result.
  • Host must strictly observe KGNU's studio sanitizing protocols, including wiping down all surfaces at the start and end of the show and using their own windscreen/mic cover.

These rules are subject to change at any time.

Any host with known possible exposure should report it to the appropriate KGNU Program Director (music or news) immediately.

All hosts should make every effort to pre-produce their shows from home if they are able.

We ask that scheduled programmers do NOT come to the station if:

  • You have tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 5 days.
  • You are feeling sick at all: flu-like symptoms, cold symptoms, fever.
  • You suspect or know that you have been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 5 days.
  • You don’t feel personally comfortable/safe at the station due to the current COVID-19 situation.
